Reviews:
“I liked this movie. I am a fan of movies based on true stories. This was a sad film but that is a part of like. There was some good acting, the young man who played the lead did a great job. It is a simple story about a young man’s life.”

  1. This is a really sad movie it made me cry and I felt Steve pain. However I am glad he finally made the right decision by going to the social worker and proved his wicked foster parents wrong, went to college and became successful.
From the start I admired your character and resilience.

  2. The world appalled brave, strong & Courageous Steve!! Thank u Almighty God for protecting him & for John for everything he did for Steve & everyone who helped him, lived him & gave him the best family a human being could ever wish for!❤fir! Steve's life & circumstances reminded me of Jesus' life- no actual " home", despised, rejected, lied about, his own foster family hated him to the point of beating & murder ( abuse( yet he forgave all his enemies & rejected the lies about hin ftom the devil & instead chose to believe the Truth aboutvhim ftom his creator God and overcame sin, sufferring & pain! No weapons formed against him prospered! A lot of us Chosen Ones- put here intentionally by God to be His Light in a dark & evil world have endured & survived & conquered this world after going thru what Steve did! Our scars are living proof & our testimony to others that no matter what- God is forvuou & not against you and Nothing is impossible With God!❤ Thank you so very much for his true life story!

  3. Wow. I'm so appalled that people like Steve's foster parents exist. I know this to be true because even though I didn't grow up in foster care, I grew up with the gaslighting and abuse. My parents looking wonderful to the outside world while we were all suffering at home. The system is a shambles and we saw that with the forms he needed to fill in that alerted his foster parents.

  4. What an aspirational movie, despite what he went through in the foster care system, there is still really some great people out here in the world that helped him find his way in life

  5. As a person that owns a few businesses, being my relative does nothing for anybody with me. In fact, none of my leading people are my relatives, though 13 relatives, including a couple of my own children, work for me. No free rides here.

  6. This is a really good movie, I just didn't understand why when he went to the social work the lady said he had to fill out a form and that they would know he filed it. Isn't that confidential, and wouldn't they fill it out for him since he's a child. How do they know they wouldn't have hurt him or killed him because they know he filed.
Also, why didn't they get arrested and take the other kids from them???

  7. This remarkable true story of this young man played should receive a reward. Because through him shows compassion, bravery, love & respectful young man. Steve demonstrates what terrible things happen to him in his past but didn't have to be his future. What they meant for bad. God turned it for good. For God knows the plan for our life to be made manifest for his GLORY! What lives he touches by telling his story. Every family should see this movie.❤❤
