WOW , Tears knew no end in my eyes in this movie from this 60 year old pair of eyes in this old man's head. This was a beautiful faith based movie. Chase had an amazing Grandfather who not only loved and feared God , but he loved Chase to no end. He was one to ride the river with. I knew this movie would have a happy ending. And I felt like it would be Chase and Maria getting married. But I was caught off guard of just how beautiful of a setting it would be. See his friend's little brother show up at the ranch was awesome. And seeing Chase's son was amazing. Even though it was the same kid that played him and his son. Chase had an amazing support group , outside of his Pop he had his grandmother and mom and a pastor.
Sadly too many of our troops come home barely loads of guilt for one reason or another. A Commander feeling like he killed his men may be the worst of guilt of all. I know many feel guilty because their friends died and they didn't . The self blame has sadly been known to drive some to taking their own life. Such a well-made, thought out and executed Christian film. I thank God for all those who contributed to making this movie possible and ofcourse I thank God for "Peace River". It is so real, the challenges and rough times that Cassey and his grandpa went through as well as the heartbreak Maria went through, having to overcome her unforgiveness and let the Lord heal her relationship, and all the other characters affected by the events in the movie. Yet God, like His word says, worked everything together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Praise Yaweh, King of kings and Lord of lords. The author of creation, our Heavenly Father who has a plan for each and every one of us for our lives.
Lets look to trust in and have faith in Him always, for He is a good God, shall never leave us nor forsake us, and knows whats best for us. Though we lived in a cursed, broken world, we can find rest in Christ Jesus. We can live freely, having accepted His free gift of salvation and chosen to make Him Lord of our lives and follow Him. Then, we can look heavenward, now reunited with our Father, Yaweh and having the opportunity to live with Him eternally. We live to serve Him, expand His kingdom and serve others while still here on this planet Earth that He created; living in this dark world and bringing light to it
