No, it's not about nothing, think it's about serious psychosis and feeling of grandiose with other mental problems, which in so called 1st world countries are possible to maintain as lifestyle, I knew some "versions" of it, sometimes it comes from real early trauma and then mixed with New Age spirituality…and sometimes I've seen it after using of psychodelics… it's actually really tragic situation to be in , they shouldn't promote it as nothing more than debilitating mental illness, otherwise someone with this condition can watch it and have confirmation moment…
One little thing made you run 5 minutes late this morning. But that one little thing, saved you from being involved in a fatal multi car accident. That's how she felt about her mother's death. If she had only taken that 5 minutes to put her dolls away, her mother would have waited to say goodbye before leaving for work. Which would have saved her from dying in that accident. What a horrible burden she carried on her mind all those years. Glad someone loved her enough to break her free. Great movie!
So I've seen comments that say this movie is about nothing in a waste of time. I disagree completely. This is a poignant story of grief among folks who are themselves incredibly flawed but incredibly humand capable somehow of renewal and redemption.
