I sure would like to know how she expects her siblings to testify if, according to her, they were gone since she was three and they weren't even there. Just saying.
So that one daughter that's drinking. Either have her arrested for under age drinking and any related crimes like possessing a fake I.D. card or if she's old enough to drink, kick her the fuck out!
Or if she's 17, then tell her that on her 18th birthday she needs to move out.
I think they just should have killed him.
He he said that he was being accused of abuse and wrong doing by his own flesh and blood, and looked at his daughter during the deposition and asked her how that feels, she should have immediately responded "Good. It feels damn good because it's true and I fucking hate you. I will never forgive you, and you need to know that. You need to be held accountable, and you will be."
I had a step dad who molested my sister. It turned out he also sexually assaulted his own daughters. These people are real scum. I do not feel sorry for them in the least so if they need to kill themselves, then so be it if that makes me a horrible person, then I'm a horrible person. I guess I'll see him in Hell.
And, by the way, child sexual abuse is something that the adult child should not ever forgive the parent for. They need to be held accountable.
The physical beatings that he inflicted on her siblings shouldn't be forgiven either. They should have encouraged him to kill himself, then celebrated when he completed the act. I fucking hate child abusers or anyone who hurts children.
I might feel a little differently if the father at least was truthful and remorseful, but he's not sorry at all and he won't admit to anything.
I guess everyone is capable of murder given the right circumstances, Lololol, che, che, che!
I guess there's some adults that really enjoy abusing children. That's just sheer evil.
No, he didn't believe what he was doing was alright. He kept on doing it because he knew he could. He knew it was wrong and hurtful but as long as he enjoyed doing it, he was going to continue, period. That's why these people need to be held accountable. They need to be punished as severely as possible. There should be no mercy in there punishment. That's the only thing they will listen to, the only thing they will understand.
I tried getting a lawyer.. to sue my father for my childhood abuse and I can’t find anyone. I want him to pay for ruining my life and development.
This was my life. Oldest of 6 kids. I am now 62 and all my siblings were dead by the time I was 53. Unbelievable. Drugs, alcohol, heavy smoking promiscuity, you name it. I avoided all the bad life choices that killed them but I am broken and devastated. I will never get over my horrific childhood. I live in constant fear and anxiety for no reason. I can’t leave the house. I am having problems looking after myself. My life is dominated by Complex PTSD and flashbacks. I am waiting to die so I can be with my Lord and Saviour, the only one who cares about me.
Catholics have a duty to seek legal separation from someone who is abusing them and/ or the kids.
I get their suffering but this whole thing is about them complaining and non stop the same thing- this kind of sucked to be honest. People get over shit, I did so, there.
To close to home, I cried the entire movie. Her line about bring children into this world hits hard.
You have PTSD
The translation in greek language is awful
Mary's husband should be forced to read the book, "Life With Billy", a story about a Canadian woman, Jane Hurshman, who was forced to kill her abusive Common Law Partner, Lamont William "Billy" Stafford, due to the grievous abuse she and the kids, Darren and Allen, endured in his evil hands.
He will also be shocked to hear the Billy wasn't just abusive towards Jane, but also his two previous wives, Pauline Oickle and Faith Hatt, along with his six children from these two previous marriages.
While Jane was initially charged with "First Degree Murder", a crime that will get you a life sentence with no chance of parole for 25 years in Canada, her lawyer, Allan Ferrier, convinced her to relive all the harm she caused to her.
In the end, Jane was found "Not Guilty" of First Degree Murder. Three weeks later, the Crown Prosecutors appealed the verdict, and a new trial was order.
To avoid reliving the painful events Jane endured in the hands of Billy Stafford, she plead Guilty on a lesser charge, "Manslaughter", and got a six month jail sentence and two years probation.
If it wasn't for Jane's actions, her children would have been dead by now, and "Battered Wives Syndrome" would not be a legitimate defence for murder in Canada.
