  19. I just tried to get through "Tintorera" and "Mako: Jaws of Death," two of the dumbest shark movies anybody ever wasted popcorn watching. Kept scrolling until this popped up, and finally, somebody knows how to write a screenplay. Plus, you can't go wrong in Bayou country! This was brilliant writing, insane suspense, a totally crazy plot, some imaginative science fiction that transforms a regular salt water shark into a genetically modified, indestructible monster who swims 100 miles from the Gulf of Mexico into a Louisiana swamp town of fewer than 500 people. Naturally, the Asian kid is the one with the brains. Somebody call Rod Serling. OK, was it slightly unbelievable that the sheriff and his numbers runner were smuggling exotic animals, or that Bubba the running back delivered the "bomb" into the end zone but the fuse didn't ignite? Was little sister Crystal (who has never heard of method acting) about as animated as cement? Yes, the cake fell flat at the end, but it was certainly a wild ride getting there! Loved every bit of it, and those lusty-like-a-rabbit, crazy Cajuns too!
