Clara grew up in the Belize jungles but was sent to live in San Francisco after a childhood trauma. Her older boyfriend, Gabriel encourages a trip back to her jungle home. Once arriving, the familiar faces and tropic environment fills Clara with hope for a brighter future. She’s soon reminded that the jungle has a dark side and begins to realize that Gabriel may have an even darker one himself.

Thriller? Not until the last minutes. This is a boring drama. Good acting but no action.

I do concur, it is really great acting. But, the screen play gives me the creeps (like, as in, cringy). Some of the actors/actresses are high as a kite (like, they’re for real-for real pill poppers, like abusing their prescribed medication or on illicit narcotics). The black Caribbean with the dredlocks has a fentanyl shaped body. I wouldn’t trust some of those actor/actresses around my kids.
The line “Let me have a drink” was overwhelmingly aggressive. I wouldn’t served him sh!t. I would’ve told him: get the fu$k out of my establishment!!
There is no “happy hour” in the 501. It’s always Belikin Stout o’clock/whiskey o’clock and Dolla wings o’clock (possibly, due to the hyper-inflation, I’m most certain, the price of “Dolla wings” has increased.

At first I thought I wasn't going to like this movie. What kept me interested was rhe marvelous orchestral score. Then I gradually began to like the movie.
