Very Odd… corporations?…this cut has a different song at the end. Originally it was "I Paint a Design" by Michael Hurley. Very odd.
Absolute genius!
"A SCOTSMAN!"
Hilarious movie. My wife is an accountant. We've memorized most of the lines and we regularly quote them. Favorites: "Yer guessin' at half this shit!" "Well, there's always 4.5% margin of error, plus or minus." "I can't farm without my legs!" đ
Just need some drive-by trucker soundtrack in the background
The saddest thing about this movie is when I ask "Hey so and so, have you ever seen The Accountant?" and they respond with, "oh the one with Ben Affleck?" đ
This IS my favorite movie of all time.
"Let's have a PBR David and talk financial plannin"
This is all that a movie needs to be. Be sure to check out âChrystalâ from 2004
I know these folks went to a lot of trouble and expense to create and develop this; truly a love of the art to do so. This is a wonderfully made and acted film. Hats off to these gents. BTW, to tack on to the fellow below, "Randy and the Mob" and "Chrystal" are a couple of his gems too. Hats off to Walton Goggins and a special nod to Eddie King (David) of whom we do not get to see enough in film acting.
Didn't this have a different song in the opening? I thought it played, "I Paint a Design".
I guess they had to change the end/end credits song. that sucks..orig. was "I paint a design" by Michael Hurley
Lucky was played by Blue. When he jumps up in the truck! đ
That was great.
Excellent acting and directing. Should be a whole movie.
How you know about my old lady's titty lol that's a true story only this un had stars tattooed on hers
"Let's just say that one day your grandchildren will be eating cornbread that's sweet and drinking iced tea that ain't, and they'll think that's southern tradition."
Walton Goggins and Ray McKinnon. What a perfect pairing of actors!
This got an Oscar for best short film.
I've gotta say, I always was suspicious of Billy Bob Thornton.
OBRA MAESTRA
ORIGINAL CLOSING CREDITS SONG – "i paint a design" by michael hurley
This movie feels like a country boys Glengarry Glen Ross. Thanks for posting it.
Jimmy Dale Gilmore singing the opening song
This is better than 95 percent of the crap that Hollywood is putting out today!!!
"Better odds on a folk singer from Canada," had me thinking of Colter Wall lol
Wonderful. I'm crying ….
I don't know why, but this is giving me Adam Driver's vibes when he was in Logan Lucky
If a man builds a machine and that machine conspires with another machine built by another man, are those men conspiring?
There is nothing about this film that I do not love
No Michael Hurley on the outro, tragic. Thanks for the upload though
This was great, well done all around!
For right now i just got one question.. Ya'll got some cole Beer đ¤Ł
Ben Affleck's version was better.
Walton Goggins is a legit cinema treasure — not like Billy Bob Thornton (who traded his indie swagger 'n shine for a quick piece of Angie Jolie & mediocre filmography).
So glad I found this! Been looking for years but didn't know the director's name. Saw it with some other short films at a theater in DC in 2001.
Excellent
Even in 360p it's still great.
Brilliant!!!
Ray wrote the script, directed the movie and acted as the accountant.
Michael Hurley used to improvise a song live while just doing quotes from the short. Not very often, but it was amazing when you'd hear it. XO
anyone else here from the weekly planet episode 604?
I wonder how many times a month BBT is asked if he's the real deal.
My favorite part was when he took a piss behind the house. lol
Good job
That was better than all the full length films made in the last 20 years.
